We hope you enjoy our new site. There is still much to add. We will be looking to improve it constantly. Become part of the site by signing the guestbook and by adding your memories. Just follow the links on the website. We all would enjoy camp stories, funny incidents and unforgettable people you met at camp. Take the time to not only contact the site, but old friends. | Twin Lake Camp was started by a man named Lou Abelson, a New York City high school principal, on land adjoining Echo Lake in Brandon Vermont in 1918.He operated the camp until he sold it in the 1930's to June Sherline the owner of Camp Awanee the sister camp of Twin Lake Camp. In 1948 the camp was sold to Bernie Blum of New York City, and Martin "Bing" Rosen the son-in-law of Bernie Blum's brother Irving. Irving Blum and a third brother (Carl Blum), the father of Bob Blum (of our reunion committee) were New York City accountants who owned a firm called Blum Audit Company which was later changed to the Irving M. Blum Company. more |
